Resources
I recognize that there is a limit of 25% of sources to come from the Internet. However, even though the concept and availability of eBooks is not new the current surge is very recent. I have would not have been able to write this dissertation within that limit. Many of the sources I have needed and used had to come from online resources, in order to get information that was both up to date and relevant. Some references are less than a week old. The nature of my topic means that huge amounts of the discussion taking place around only doing so online. Some of the sites are from national newspapers and are citing articles that appeared in print.
I used the RAVEN (Reputation, Ability to See, Vested Interest, Expertise and Neutrality) system recommended by the CVCS department and used multiple search engines to ensure that the sources I used were as high as possible. This literally ruled out hundreds of sites. Some sources however were simply used to get appropriate and up to date images. To expand my used of printed literature I have used a diverse range of sources, ranging from graphic design to investment readiness.
It reflects the content of my argument that I was only able to attain sufficient information from electronic and not printed text.
Industry Resource
I have also discussed my dissertation with the managing director and chief editor of Insomnia Publications Ltd. He was generous enough to give me some of his valuable time and some quotes, direct from an active leader in the industry.
Creator led, market driven. Insomnia was started in 2006 by Crawford Coutts and has been growing steadily since. They are the rising star of Britains independent publishing industry. They specialize in Graphic Novels, with 6 on sale and more than 40 in production. These include novels, art books and other genre and medium blurring content, all of which are produced to a very high quality. Insomnia Publications have also embraced the digital revolution and have specially configured content being released for the Sony PlayStation Network.
